Building relationships with gratitude
Cultivating a attitude of gratitude is a skill and a personality trait. Acquiring one does not happen over night. With daily gratitude practices, over time you will catch yourself feeling more and more grateful. Some individuals already have a grateful personality.
Gratitude makes us nicer, more trusting, more sociable, and appreciative. It can deepen our current relationships, improve marriages, and make more friends. Do you want to make more connections on a personal and professional level? Two studies were conducted involving nearly 300 participants. 10% had more gratitude and had 17% more social capital than those with less gratitude.
How can we begin to have more gratitude? Begin a daily gratitude journal. Before getting out of bed every morning, pause and think of three things you are grateful for. Verbally expressing "thanks" each day will lead you to having a attitude of gratitude.
Attitude with gratitude.....the single most powerful tool to more happiness.
